Here at HOME FUNDRAISING Limited - fundraising is all we do.

We fundraise on behalf of a number of great charities. We do not trade your data, indeed your data is the property of our charity clients and it remains so throughout the time it spends at HOME. During this time the security of any data we hold is paramount, we strive to keep it safe, accurate and complete. In this Privacy Policy we set out details of how we hold your information why we collect it and how we use it.

Whilst you are using this website we may use cookies and collect other information (such as IP addresses) regarding your browsing activity. This information is used for internal purposes only and is used to assist us in evaluating, developing and improving this website. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently to improve the user experience, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

How we collect and use your personal data relating to fundraising

When we undertake a campaign on behalf of a client you may provide us with personal data such as your name, email and postal address and your bank account details. This information is collected on a secure tablet and held on a database in the United Kingdom and we will use it initially to make a welcome call whenever we are able to do so. Following this we will pass all the information on securely to the relevant charity. We will also collect information and opinions expressed on a welcome call, all our welcome calls are recorded and that information is kept for 12 months.

We also use your information when handling any queries or complaints you raise during the campaign.We may further collect information you give us directly in any contact between us.

The information we hold is under the control of our client charity with whom we have a regulated fundraising agreement and we will not process any of your personal data without their permission. You will need to refer to the charity on whose behalf we have collected your donation to see their full terms of use. We may also have to release information because of a legal requirement on us or pursuant to a court order. Once the information is passed on to our client it will also be held in accordance with their Data Policy.

How we collect and use any personal information relating to our clients/service providers

Our potential clients, clients, potential service providers and service providers may also on occasion supply us with personal information through interactions with us when using or procuring services. We will only use this information in pursuance of any contractual purpose, or for reasons of legitimate interest namely to administer our relationship or to personalise the experience or to contact you regarding events, to display information you choose to post, share, upload or make available in chat rooms, messaging services, and community and event forums (including in community and event profiles) and for related collaboration, peer connection and information exchange and where allowed by law to send you marketing information or to safeguard the public or to comply with requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and other public and government authorities. We will not store such information any longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which we collected it, or to comply with any legal, regulatory or reporting obligations or to assert or defend against legal claims.

The basis of collection of information

Storage and processing of Information

We will keep a record from fundraising for the purpose of analysing and reporting on the campaign and this record will not be retained for a period beyond six months from the campaign reconciliation namely the time after the campaign has finished when we have ensured our information and that held by the client regarding the campaign matches. Accordingly your information will be anonymised on average within a period of fifteen months from receipt. We use a tablet system of data collection to create a record of your donation and this is processed by PDA Solutions Limited on their servers in the UK and stored for a period of six months after collection before it is anonymised. PDA Solutions are an established sector supplier and undertake the same services for a number of charities.

Who do we share your information with?

We may share your information with others where lawful to do so including passing the information to the charity client with whom you have signed your direct debit, or where needed regarding modifying or cancelling the direct debit,

Will your information be sent overseas?

Our software team in Bangalore India resides within our sister company HOME India. They service our database in the UK. Accordingly there may be secure intergroup cross boarder access of data outside the EEA from time to time which is protected by model contractual clauses. This is under our control as the support services are part of the HOME Group. We take appropriate steps to ensure that personal information is processed, secured and transferred according to applicable law.

The Charity who you donate to will also have their own privacy statement which may also allow access or transfers of personal data outside the EEA.

Your rights:

Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the data that we hold about you.
Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to be forgotten – you can ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records.
Right to restriction of processing – you can ask for us to restrict the way we process your data.
Right of portability – you have the right to have the data we hold about you transferred to another organisation.
Right to object – you have the right to object to our processing your data where we are relying on a legitimate interest in order to process it.
Right to withdraw your consent – you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
Rights related to automated decision-making. You have the right not to be subject to a decision which is based solely on automated processing and which produces legal or other significant effects on you.
The right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority. You have the right to lodge a complaint directly with any local Supervisory Authority about how we process your personal data.

Please note that these rights are not absolute and certain exemptions apply.
