When I received my fundraiser footprint award, even though I had progressed and was working in the London regional office at the time. It was a tangible reminder of what my hard work as a fundraisier had achieved and how much I had raised in the two months I had worked as a fundraiser.
I love learning about the charities we represent and what they do. It reminds me that beyond the daily tasks, KPIs and statistics, there are actual people (including a loved one) or in some cases animals that are benefitting from our work and that we are contributing to make this world a better place... as cheesy as that may sound!
Fundraising is not an easy job, you definitely need to have a passion for it.
